This region bucked the national trend for both fluke and PGE cases during December with slight
increases and above average levels, although in the case of PGE, this was from an admittedly low base. Nearly half of the fluke cases were seen in Staffs.
Cases of pneumonia followed the other regions in continuing to fall away sharply, only 2 cases being reported in
Staffordshire & Warwickshire
