Sheep Diseases - Midlands and West Update

Headlines

Fluke numbers in the Midlands and West are still four times the norm even after their November peak. Over half were seen in Lancashire.

Unlike other regions, PGE is high at three times the norm, with cases seen in nearly every rural county.

The region saw just one report of Sheep Scab (in Hereford & Worcester) and one of pneumonia (Staffs).  Previous years’ data show these low levels are normal for December, but sheep scab in particular can be expected to jump soon.
